Brother Shannon
Hello, brothers and sisters in Christ; this is Brother Shannon. I wanted to share my Testimony about Jesus, the Son of the living God. It started when I had that feeling in my heart that there was something more to life and something bigger than the rest of us. I was 8yrs old when I began asking my mom what was my purpose, why am I here, who were our first parents, who created me? Mom didn't know how to reply she was puzzled and said his name is Jehovah. I asked her where is he, Can I see him? She said no you can't he's invisible. She was looking off in the distance. So, afterward, my sister intervened and said. Why don't you tell the boy the truth?
My mom couldn't say much so she took me to the kingdom hall for Jehovah's witness. I learned the typical things a witness learns and that Jesus was a son of God and learning that he was a good teacher etc... So, later my sister took me to Church to help me learn about who Jesus was and is. I stopped going to the kingdom hall and started to go to Church more often and the Church talked about life problems and all. However, I didn't understand that much till I started picking up God's word learning who Jesus was in the book of Matthew, a little of Luke, John, and Rev. I started to do this at the age of 14 seeking after the Lord with all my heart by seeking for answers.
I didn't learn the sinner's prayer till later. I even started looking at Tbn learning about prayer and them asking the Lord to pour out his anointing upon us and having encounters with him and dreams and visions. So, when that happen I remember later how I thought God spoke to me I had heavy pressure on my chest while I was sleeping trying to wake up but couldn't, or should I say, I was trying move to call on the name of Jehovah. I was so powerless trying to fight that demon at the time. I didn't know what was going on till years later when I thought back on it. Satan hated it because I was seeking the Lord with all my heart. The next morning, I told my mom that the Lord spoke to me. She asked me what did he say? I said that he said, God.
Sorry, it wasn't the Lord, dear brothers and sisters. It was the enemy at the time I didn't know. I later went to the Church to ask a brother in Christ named Phillip what this meant. He said that theLord was telling me to be still. Now, fast forward. I'm still a little confused about that. Why would God say, God? Ok. Here it is, the part you have all been waiting for so patiently.
In a dream I had the next night, Jesus appeared to me and said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit.". Jesus had open arms welcoming me home with a brilliant smile. I stood close to him upon a hill that had small flowers, he was bending down like a Father talking to his son. He wore a pure white robe, and his hair was a brownish curly, mid-neck length. He appeared to be Jewish, and his eyes were a variety of colors. The dream showed us playing hide and go seek with two other people with orange and teal clothing, both of whom looked Israeli. One of them was rushing off somewhere and they weren't paying attention, so I asked him if I should show myself to him. It's not clear to me why I said that if the Lord already knew I was there. As I ran after him, I followed him until he stopped and the dream ended.
That is what made me get baptized and gave my life to Jesus at the age of 15. Brothers and sisters that will be all. God bless all of you. See you in the rapture!
