“Go and Sin No More”

After scattering her accusers by pointing to their own guilt, Jesus healed the woman taken in adultery through immediate forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and love.

His admonition to "Go and sin no more" was not a rebuke, but an affirmation of His belief in her ability to change...a vote of confidence at what may have been the darkest moment of her life.

In considering the Savior's response, we ask this question: "What was this woman unworthy of?" She was worthy of the Savior's love. She was worthy of the Savior's compassion. She was worthy of the Savior's forgiveness. And in our own times of sin and error, so are we.

We don't help others by judging them, but by extending a hand of forgiveness, understanding, acceptance, and love, along with an empowering vote of confidence in their ability to overcome.
